Stunning views of the Forth bridges, Quality bar and dining menus, Unique blend of history and modern comfort

The noisy plumbing systems were bothersome!!! Maintenance is clearly lacking, especially with outdated decor and persistent plumbing issues!!!

    stunning location
    delicious meals
    spacious family room
    limited play area

The location is stunning, right by the beautiful Forth rail bridge. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our family felt at home, especially with the delicious meals we had during our stay. The family room was quite spacious and offered a nice view.

My kids wished there was a more extensive play area for them as they got a bit restless at times.

    spacious room
    excellent breakfast
    frustrating check-in
    unhelpful staff
    bathroom issues

The family room was spacious and clean, a true delight after weeks of travel, with lovely views of the river. Breakfast was excellent, featuring regional dishes that impressed the whole family. the check-in experience was frustrating due to unhelpful staff, and there was a serious issue with the bathroom in a separate room that dampened our spirits. the charming atmosphere and great location couldn’t quite compensate for the disappointing service.

Only downside was some noise from the trains above.
